Millwall is never an easy place to go, but Sheffield United went into this game with a good record at The New Den.

A 4:0 away win wasn't to be replicated today, but just the one goal would seal a much-needed victory for Gary Speed's men.

Andy Reid picked up on a ball from the in-form Mark Yeates, controlled it nicely, waited, and hammered the ball into David Forde's goal with help of the crossbar.

A healthy following of just over 900 followed the Blades and witnessed the thunderous strike.

United started brightly - Reid cutting in and trying to curl the ball past the Lions keeper, but Forde collected without any trouble.

Millwall then begun to heap on the pressure, especially with a few testing balls into the box which more than troubled the United defence.

Bartley got a whack in the face from a Henry's shot, and Montgomery then had to scramble the ball off the line.

Danny Shittu should definitely have put the Londoners into the lead with a free header at the back post - United's defending was criminal.

The Premier League quality of Andy Reid was clearly evident when he silenced the home crowd with a rocket into the top-corner, hitting the crossbar on the way in.

Evans headed wide just before half-time, but the hosts were the quickest out of the blocks after the restart.

Just seconds into the second-half, Marquis hooked the ball over the crossbar after confusion in the Blades backline.

Kenny Jacket's men continued to bombard the Blades goal, but didn't have any real threatening chances from then on, however, Hughes-Mason easily fell to the ground in the Blades box calling for a spot-kick late on, but the referee was having none of it.

United held on for a hard fought victory in the capital, with Andy Reid producing yet another talismanic display.

The Blades should have six points from a possible six in the last two games (both away), but four from six will do very nicely after what has been a very difficult period.

Our away form this season is quite decent in actual fact, but our home form is a real contrast.

Next Saturday sees us live in front of the Sky cameras at home to Crystal Palace, a win against the Eagles would really propel Gary Speed's side, there's no doubt.

The final score from The New Den, is, Millwall 0:1 Sheffield United.
