Sheffield Wednesday
vs. Sheffield United
Tuesday, 14 December 2010
Hillsborough Stadium
Kick-Off: 2:00pm

The Blades have the upper hand having already beaten the Owls 1-0 at Bramall Lane when Daniel Bogdanovic netted a first half penalty following Richard Hinds handball in the box.

Keeper Richard Wright made his debut for United that day and made his full debut in last Saturday’s first team defeat at Barnsley. Sadly he bowed out early in the second half after picking up an injury and was forced to leave the game.

Jamie Ward was included and used as a substitute at Oakwell after recovering from his injury; he isn’t 100% fit and may be used in S6 today to help speed up his fitness.

But the reserves come into this fixture on back of a 2-0 win over Barnsley Reserves in November; youngsters Jordan Slew and Joe Ironside netted in the win over the Tykes and the duo are likely to feature today.

Bottom of the table Wednesday have netted just twice this season and have picked up just one point; a 1-1 draw with Bradford City in mid-September.

They were beaten 3-0 convincingly at the Don Valley Stadium against Rotherham United. United lay fourth in the table and are just four points behind league leaders Rotherham United who face second placed Nottingham Forest today.
