The Blades faced Blackpool in round five at Bramall Lane, and against a strong crowed of 828 spectators were forced into extra-time when Conor Martin netted for the hosts, cane cling out Liam Tomsett’s strike for the Seasiders.
United remained a strong unit throughout the game, and this showed in the added 30 minutes when young starlet Jordan Slew bagged brace to send the Blades into the Quarter-Finals.
Their opponents for the sixth round have yet to be decided and will have to wait until Wednesday, 23rd February 2011 to find the answer to that question when Leicester City host Preston North End at the Walkers Stadium for their fifth round tie.
