After collecting ten yellow cards this season, Chris Morgan will be out for the next two games - Tuesday evening against Blackpool, and Saturday's trip to Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium. The skip picked up his tenth caution on Saturday in our league clash with Queens Park Rangers.
Toni Kallio is also out; the Finn has returned to parent club Fulham for further treatment to his injury. Kyle Bartley is touch and go for our midweek encounter with the Tangerines - he has been ill with food poisoning. Lee Williamson is also pushing for a return after being substituted at Peterborough due to a hamstring problem.
Gary Speed updates us on the injury and suspension front: "Normally the manager would have named the team by now but he can't possibly do that this time. We will wait on the condition of Lee Williamson (hamstring) and give Kyle Bartley (food poisoning) another 24 hours to see if his dehydration improves.
"But Toni Kallio (calf) and 'Morgs' are definitely unavailable and there are one or two other concerns as well.
"Toni has gone back to Fulham for an assessment on his injury, whilst Chris was unfortunate to pick up the ban with only three fouls because, by that criteria, a lot of others should have been cautioned as well.
"The manager is trying to get people in with right-back the key area to fill. Jon Fortune and Matt Lowton, a young lad we have brought through, are available but it is looking likely that we won't be able to fill the bench again."
