The Blades have claimed four points from their home games this season to date with a 2-1 victory before drawing 1-1 with Colchester United a fortnight ago. Last weekend the Blades contested the Yorkshire Derby against Bradford City at Valley Parade with the Blades coming away with a 2-0 defeat, leaving their opening day win over Nott's County their only victory this season.
Blades boss David Weir is likely to name a similar eleven to that played in West Yorkshire six days ago with no known injuries added to the list. He will be without striker Shaun Miller (knee) who is a long term injury but has returned to light training.
MK Dons have made a pleasant start to the 2013-14 campaign. They have beaten Crewe Alexandra (1-0) in their only victory to date but have recorded draws against Shrewsbury Town (0-0), Preston North End and Bristol City (both 2-2). They have however been in League Cup action and after seeing off Northampton Town faced Sunderland in the Second Round last Tuesday night. Strikes from Patrick Bamford and Izale McLeod gave the Dons a two goal lead at the Stadium of Light before the Black Cats pounced to score four times in 12 minutes to win the match 4-2.
Dons boss Karl Robinson could see former Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United defender Jon Otsemabor return to the side after recovering from an illness whilst Dean Lewington (knee) and Dean Bowditch (groin) are unlikley to feature. Meanwhile Daniel Powell (ankle) is also set to sit out through injury.
Dons boss Karl Robinson is likely to field Izale McLeod against his former club; Izale Mcleod joined the Blades on loan between March 2004 to May 2004 from Derby County, he started just once as well as making six substitute appearances before returning to Pride Park. He later played for Milton Keynes Dons and a host of clubs before signing for Portsmouth (from Barnet) last summer he scored on his debut in a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth and returned to MK in a permanent transfer in January 2013.
Blades-Mad Prediction: Sheffield United 1-0 MK Dons
