Oliver is one of 17 Select Group Referees who are usually handed games in the Premier League, but the Northumberland-born official has come in for some criticism over the past couple of months after a few incorrect decisions on a major scale.
His most recent blooper coming at QPR when Armand Traore was penalised for a 'tug' on Gabby Agbonlahor's shirt in their match against Aston Villa in the Premier League last month - a decision which looked very harsh.
Simon Long and Simon Barrow are Oliver's assistant referees, whilst Neil Swarbrick is the fourth official.
