MK Dons vs. Sheffield United

Following promotion and winning the League One title, boss Chris Wilder has made it his mission to finish the season with exactly 100 points. This will require United extending their unbeaten record of 15 league matches with victories at Stadium:MK and their final game of the season at home to Chesterfield.

Sheffield United celebrated their homecoming as League One champions in style with a 3-0 win over Bradford, who failed to book their play-off spot. The Blades, promoted 10 days ago, were crowned the division's winners on Saturday and put the Bantams to the sword on their first appearance back at Bramall Lane, with a brace from Leon Clarke and Billy Sharp's 27th goal of the season.

They were in party mood from the off and a fine start was rewarded with two goals in the opening 20 minutes. Clarke made it four in four games when he swept home from the edge of the area after good work from Jack O'Connell and then Sharp bagged his first since March 7 when coolly converting John Fleck's through ball.

A third came on the brink of half-time when Clarke grabbed his second of the day, converting a breakaway move with aplomb. A win for Stuart McCall's men would have confirmed their top-six spot but, it was only ever going to be United who added to the scoreline as Sharp headed straight at Colin Doyle before Chris Basham missed two good chances late on.

Sheffield United striker James Hanson is battling to overcome a calf injury in time to return to the squad. Hanson has missed the Blades' last two matches, including Monday's home win against former club Bradford, but is hoping to prove his fitness. Defender Jack O'Connell is expected to shake off the dead leg he sustained against Bradford and boss Chris Wilder has no other new major injury problems.

Midfielder Samir Carruthers is pushing for a start against his former club, while defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell is also hoping for a recall as the champions bid to improve on their new club record of 28 league games won in a single season.

MILTON KEYNES DONS VS. SHEFFIELD UNITED

The Dons look set to finish in unrespectable mid-tabled position but come into this fixture in decent form. A play-off push isn't possible but they come into this fixture with just one defeat in seven league matches, including a victory over Southend in their last outing.

Southend's push for the Sky Bet League One play-offs was dented by a 2-1 defeat against MK Dons at Roots Hall. The seventh-placed Shrimpers had been hoping to move up into the top six with a win. But two Dons goals in nine minutes at the start of the second half saw Phil Brown's side suffer a costly setback.

MK Dons came closest to scoring in the first 45 minutes when Harvey Barnes' effort was cleared off the goal-line by a sliding Jason Demetriou. However, the Dons broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute with centre-back Joe Walsh heading home a right-wing corner from Ben Reeves.

Southend almost netted an immediate equaliser with Anthony Wordsworth curling a 25 yard free-kick against the outside of the left post. But Dons doubled their lead in the 62nd minute with former Shrimpers loanee Reeves firing home after Christian Walton had parried a shot from Kieran Agard.

Walton then did well to deny both Agard and Barnes before Southend rallied late on with Anton Ferdinand hitting the post and Simon Cox netting an injury-time penalty after Marc-Antoine Fortune had been brought down by George Baldock.

MK Dons right-back George Baldock is available to face Sheffield United after recovering from a bruised foot. The defender made a late substitute appearance in Monday's 2-1 win at Southend and has suffered no reaction upon his return to action.

Defender Scott Wootton remains out for the Dons while he continues to recover from the serious knee injury which has kept him out for most of the season. Dons are 12th in Sky Bet League One ahead of the visit of the champions.
