Match Preview: Sheffield United vs. Millwall

United come into this fixture with the possibility of completing a league double over the Lions after the Blades claimed a 1-0 victory at the New Den last November – Andy Reid (now at Blackpool) fired home the all important goal.

Ironically this was the last time the Blades won away from home and find themselves inside the bottom three following a 3-0 defeat at Ipswich Town last weekend; Damien Delaney (29 minutes), David Norris (53) and Connor Wickham (87) blast the Blues into a three goal lead.

Adding to the Blades pain was a late sending off at Portman Road for Robert Kozluk (violent conduct); he will be absent for the fixtures against Millwall and Reading at Bramall Lane as well as the trip to Selhurst Park next Saturday.

Midfielder Lee Williamson in protest to Kozluk’s red card talked his way to a second yellow card and exited the game earlier than expected; he will serve just a one match suspension and will not play against Millwall.

Blades boss Micky Adams hosts Millwall without a number of players; Joe Mattock (knee), Ched Evans (ill), Ryan France (back), Richard Wright (thigh), Darius Henderson (hamstring) and Andy Taylor (leg) are all missing through injury.

Meanwhile Nyron Nosworthy (ankle) has returned to light training whilst Neill Collins could make his home debut after arriving from Leeds on transfer deadline day – Stephen Jordan, David McAllister and Jean Calve may also be included in the 18 man squad.

Expected Eleven: Simonsen, Parrino, Collins, Ertl, Lowry, Doyle, Quinn, Montgomery, Cresswell, Bent, Bogdanovic.

Millwall moved to seventh in the table after a 90th minute winner from Kevin Lisbie gave Kenny Jackett’s side a 1-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers last Saturday.

At home the Lions have been formidable at home with nine wins (3 draws) out of 15 games; but they haven’t won away from home since late November when a single goal was enough to beat Middlesbrough 1-0 – they have drawn four from the last six away games.

The Lions travel to Bramall Lane without star striker Steve Morison (muscle strain) who is out injury, he has scored thirteen goals so far this season; Theo Robinson is likely to take his place.

Meanwhile skipper Paul Robinson (hamstring), Tony Craig (back) are both close to a return, but Darren Ward (ankle) and Josh McQuiod (also ankle) are sidelined through injury.

However they are boosted by the return of defender Jens Berthel Askou who is available for selection after serving a three match suspension.

Expected Eleven:  Forde, Barron, Dunne, Purse, Mkandawire, Eastmond, Trotter, Henry, Abdou, Schofield, Robinson.
