The Blades were humiliated 4-0 by Scunthorpe United earlier in the season at the Lane; in what can only be described as the most bizarre fixture ever witnessed which saw United denied of a goal with a penalty appeal was turned down. Adding to this was two strikes which smashed the post and the Iron cleared twice off the line.
Chris Dagnall (33 & 73 minutes), David Mirfin (63) and Martin Woolford (90) all scored on that eventful day.
For United; it was the first time they had lost by that score line at Bramall Lane since Sunderland cruised to victory during the 1998-99 campaign.
Blades boss Micky is without a number of players; Joe Mattock (knee), Ched Evans (ill), Ryan France (back), Richard Wright (thigh), Darius Henderson (hamstring) and Andy Taylor (leg) are all missing through injury.
However he is boosted by the return of full-back Robert Kozluk who has served a three match suspension following his red card at Ipswich.
Expected Eleven: Simonsen, Parrino, Lowry, Collins, Taylor, Yeates, Montgomery, Williamson, Riise, Bogdanovic, Cresswell.
A 0-0 draw at home to Derby County last weekend put the Iron within a point of the Blades and will be keen to follow up that 4-0 drumming that they inflicted on United earlier in the season with a victory at Glanford Park tomorrow night.
They beat Forest 1-0 during midweek last week, it was their first league win since 28 December and only their second win at home all season – the Blades have won just three times away from home!
The Iron could be without defender Eddie Nolan (calf) through injury; manager Ian Baraclough is expected to check on the full-back’s progress prior to the game.
However they will be without; Joe Murphy, Rob Jones, David Mirfin, Niall Canavan, Garry Thomson, Cliff Bryne and Martin O’Connor through various injuries.
Expected Eleven: Lills, Nelson, Gordon, Reid, Togwell, A. Wright, Duffy, Hughes, J. Wright, Garner, Miller.
