Rivals Sheffield Wednesday begin their second season in this league with a home clash against Rochdale, whilst the 2010/2011 League Two champions Chesterfield start life in League One at Tranmere.
Uwe Rosler starts life as Brentford boss, Steve Eyre is newly at the helm at Rochdale, Martin Allen has his first full season in charge at Notts County, and so does Richie Barker at Bury.
