A good run of form has seen the Tractor Boys quietly move up the table to within 2 points of a play-off spot but they go into Saturday's game matching their opponents, having lost 2 of their last 3 matches. Portman Road is an infamous bogey ground for the Blades and Blackwell's men will have to be at their absolute best to come away with maximum points. Ipswich are undefeated in their last 6 home games with goals a plenty and not many getting past them at the other end.
The Blades general form is still good enough to maintain a play-off push but they are still suffering in front of goal. Although they've scored 10 goals in the last six games, 5 of them came against Charlton which means the Blades have averaged 1 goal for each of the other games. Worryingly still a defence that only conceded 2 goals in 8 games has now conceded 8 goals in it's last 4 matches. The good news though is that the influential Ehiogu should go straight back into the line-up, although who he will be replacing is not as certain. The Blades are starting to consistently pick up points on their travels. Only two defeats have been registered in the last six away games with one of them coming undeservedly against Norwich.
Although a lot of fans will want to play the bogey ground card as the Blades have a tendency of losing at Portman Road, Tuesday served up a reminder that these records are there to be broken as Wolves won at Bramall Lane after the sixth time of asking.
