The on-loan Barnsley man knows the test Charlton will provide despite languishing down near the bottom. Howard said:
"It will be tough at Charlton; everyone in the Championship is on a level-playing field, although they aren't doing too well at the moment.
"We want to go there, start brightly, put pressure on them and get the crowd on their backs. All our lads are confident that we can come away with three points.
"We showed too much respect to Reading and that's not what we are about. We started badly and after that we found it hard to get going until the 2nd half when we had enough chances to win."
