United's on loan shot-stopper Carl Ikeme suffered a calf-strain at Plymouth Argyle in the dying embers of the 0:1 victory. The Wolves 'keeper will be absent for tonight with Mark Bunn expected to deputise. Ian Bennett is still on the sidelines with an injured thumb.
The Blades' top scorer Darius Henderson will also not feature tonight, nor on Saturday versus Crystal Palace. Hendo, who finished second in the Player of the Month award in the Championship, didn't travel to Plymouth at the weekend because of a hip problem. This unfortunate injury rules the striker out for 2-3 weeks. This is just after he scores his first ever senior hat-trick!
Kevin Blackwell commented: "He (Ikeme) was backpedalling to attempt a save on a part of the pitch that was soft and the turf dragged at his calf. If we had had another goalkeeper on the bench Carl would have come off.
"As it happened Plymouth got only one cross into the box in the last twenty minutes which is a credit to the lads in front of him.
"We can't seem to avoid getting new injuries because they are occurring in games, not training, and you can't ask players to duck tackles - it is just fate."
Gary Naysmith, who's recovering from a long-term injury, was an unused substitute on Saturday - it's highly unlikely he will no make an appearance though. The same applies to Derek Geary. Richard Cresswell could start up front again against Forest, but it's likely that Ched Evans will partner him.
Henri Camara could make a return. Toni Kallio is expected to start after Fulham demanded Kevin Blackwell to pick the Finn at Plymouth. Kallio didn't play against Bristol the week before, something which annoyed Fulham. This means Andrew Davies, whose loan spell expires on Saturday, could miss out.
