16 points out of a possible 18 is no mean feat, and to accumulate those amount of points at the beginning of the season really does get the ball rolling.
5 wins, a draw and not a single loss is how Danny Wilson's competitive record as Sheffield United manager currently looks.
Expectations at S2 are understandably high, but Wilson himself couldn't foresee the Blades tallying the amount of points they have done so far.
He said: “Personally, I always look at seasons in blocks of six matches.
“We’ve surpassed the number of points we wanted from them and I’m not going to deny it.
“But, being honest, all that does is make our task even harder now.
“Teams are going to look at the start we’ve had and become doubly determined to stop us in our tracks.”
United travel to Scunthorpe at the weekend, a ground at where the Blades have the most appalling of records, against a team who have completed the double over United in the past two seasons.
Wilson, though, refuses to dwell on United's barren run against the Iron. He said: "Past results there are no consequence to me. We will approach game with fresh light and look for positive result."
