Blades v Millwall Team News

United play Millwall after beating Burnley 1-0 on Saturday, Iffy Onoura scoring the goal for the Blades.

Midfielder Michael Brown and strikers Paul Peschisolido and Laurens Ten Heuvel both missed the Burnley game through injury and are unlikely to get a game on Tuesday, Robert Page still has yet to make his second appearance of the season and Blades fans do want him back as soon as possible.

If Sheffield United are to field the same eleven as they did against Burnley then it should look like this:

Paddy Kenny, Robert Kozluk, Steve Yates, Shaun Murphy, Robert Ullathorne, Jon-Paul McGovern, Stuart McCall, Michael Tonge, Phil Jagielka, Carl Asaba, Iffy Onuora.

We sadly don't know how Millwall will line up nor what injury's they have but it is rumored that the players have not been paid over the summer and have said that they will not give 100% performance whilst losing the game until they are paid.

Millwall are currently 3rd from bottom with only Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley below them. United are 11th and another 3 points should shoot them up the table.

In last seasons thriller at Bramall Lane the game ended 3-2 to Sheffield United. This was the game after the so called 'battle of Bramall Lane' match v West Bromwich Albion, Millwall were in play-offs and on a high while United were mid-table.

On 23rd minute Ifill took the lead as his pin point header beat Simon Tracey from 12 yards out, Tonge leveled on 68 minutes when he twisted round Lions defence to bang home equaliser. However it lasted 5 minutes when Stuart Nethercroft's header was thumbed by Tracey to give away a goal.

The Blades did get one back when Peter Ndlovu's (88 minute) shot found top corner after Tonge laid him on. In injury time Nuddy got the winner, a low shot from Ndlovu was saved by Warner, Tonge pulled the ball back in but was cleared, Lovell shot but cannoned off a Millwall defender and was heading for goal, but in all the goal mouth scramble Ndlovu somehow got a head onto it which found bottom corner and won the game for the battling Blades.

Prediction: Millwall are struggling at the bottom of the table (whether they are on strike or not) and at home United can be a deadly force, it would be wrong of me to go against the team I support so I shall go for a 1 or 2-0 victory for Sheffield United. Two wins on trot should set United up nicely for the Sheffield Derby at Hillsborough this Sunday.
