2010-11 Championship Preview: Norwich City

Norwich City won promotion from Coca-Cola League One at the first attempt; winning the league ahead of Leeds United.

They had been relegated from the Championship in 2009 after a poor season but goals from Grant Holt left the Canaries chirping following promotion.

It all bizarrely started with a 7-1 defeat to Colchester United on the first day of the season; Paul Lambert the manager of the U's. Following that defeat City boss Bryan Gunn was sacked and Lambert installed as new manager.

From there they went from strength to strength and won the league by ten points and with the additions of Simeon Jackson (Gillingham), John Ruddy (Everton), Elliot Ward (Coventry City) , Andrew Surman (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Steven Smith (Glasgow Rangers) and David Fox (Colchester United) the club should see no trouble in a mid-table finish.
