The Foxes replied to their fans in the possible way, after a season of woe during the 2007/08 Championship campaign which ended in bitter relegation, chairman Milan Manderic allowed boss Nigel Pearson to retain the majority of his top players and high earners and they were rewarded by running away with the League One Championship.
With Manderic's millions its clear from the off set that City will not be looking for deja vue - and whilst its unlikely that the Walkers Stadium club are expected to be challenging for promotion I think that they will have a good start to the season but mid-table obscurity is the best they can hope for!
