Sheffield United have had an abysmal season in League One, the third tier of English Football with the Blades finishing 11th in what was equally the lowest placed finish to a season since 1983.
Although there have been no direct indication from the SUFC board that a change in management is imminent, reports from Turkey suggest otherwise with Yanal, 54 set to take over the role.
Yanal is currently working for Turkish TV Lig TV but is keen to return to management next season. His most recent clubs are Fenebache (2013-14) where he won the league and Trabzonspor (2014-15).
Should Yanal become manager of Sheffield United he will become the Blades first foreign manager since the club was formed in 1889. Uruguayan Danny Bergara was a caretaker manager at Bramall Lane as well as Reserve Team coach.
Through International Football Co-ordinator Selahattin Baki, the Blades have close ties to Turkey.
