Blades boss Neil Warnock has been very busy in the transfer market having already signed up four recruits in the shape of; David Sommiel (Manchester City), Claude Davis (Preston North End), Christian Nade (Troyes) and Mikele Leigertwood (Crystal Palace).
"I spoke to Neil Warnock at Sheffield United about him," agent Willie McKay told Sky Sports. "He would like to play in England and he could easily play in The Premiership.”
The 27 year old striker is currently contracted to French side FC Istres though spent most of last season loan at AC Ajaccio - both teams were relegated from Ligue 1.
He played in the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan for Senegal and the striker can list AS Monaco and CS Sedan (both France) as his former employers.
United are expected to make more signings before they face Liverpool on August 19, in particular a backup keeper for Paddy Kenny. But weather this international striker is the man will remain to be seen...
