The Division Two hot shot has netted 27 goals (16 in league) this season including hat-tricks against Hartlepool and Oldham. With the former Bolton Wanderers striker without a contract in the summer it is believed that a cash settlement of £200,000 is to be arranged for the transfer to be completed immediately.
Should the transfer go ahead then Taylor will become the Blades 30th striker since Neil Warnock took charge.
