Riise in Blades Return

RiiseRiise, 28 played 13 times whilst on loan at Sheffield United last season; joining Micky Adams Blades as they failed in their attempt to save themselves from relegation. He made his United debut in a 1-1 draw at home to Reading on 15 February (2011) and netted his only goal during his spell against Leeds United (2-0) before return to Craven Cottage.

He moved to Championship club Portsmouth in a two month loan spell earlier in this season and played twice in defeats to Peterborough United (2-3) and Leeds United (0-1). With the exception of a run out in the Europa League in pre-season with Fulham he has seen little first team action.

Brother of ex-Liverpool full-back Jorn Arne Riise he was allegedly seen at Bramall Lane last week by Blades-Mad user MadBlade - either his name suggests its a plausible hoax or their is truth in the Norwegian  coming to Bramall Lane. We would certainly hope so as Danny Wilson looks to propel United into the Championship at the first time of asking.
