A newspaper report in the Sunday Mirror suggests that Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in talented full-back (right & left) Kyle Naughton (20) who is apparently rated at £7,000,000.
The Old Trafford manager was rumoured to have had several scouts at the Coca-Cola Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley when the Blades lost out 1-0 to Burnley; Naughton caught the eye during that game despite arguably being at fault for the winning goal.
According to a "source," "Kyle wasn't fazed and relished the occasion. He came out of the final as United's outstanding performer."
IMScouting's network of scouts in the Championship describe the Under-21 international as a player who is "always keen to join the attack and supply crosses from a forward position. Although he is still improving defensively, he is a sufficient and thoughtful tackler nonetheless and a difficult obstacle to overcome."
The young England U-21 international broke into the Blades side last October as right-back cover after Sun Jihai served at three match suspension and as never looked back. He made his debut against Port Vale (won 3-1) in the League Cup and to date has made 42 (+2) appearances and netted three goals.
