Evans joined the Blades two seasons ago in a £3,000,000 move from Eastlands and has since made 50 (+21) appearances for United and scored thirteen goals, one of which was on his debut against Watford in August 2009.
He finished as the clubs top scorer with nine during the 2010/11 campaign, but relegation to League One will inflict a mass selling of players which are ultimately on high wages – the Welshman is reportedly earning 18k a week which will become too expensive in a lower Division.
Former club Norwich City were linked with the striker over a month ago but it now appears as though Leicester City are willing to recruit Evans as part of their promotion push next season.
