Taylor, 24 signed for Sheffield United last summer from Falkirk for an undisclosed fee by former manager David Weir but has now been told he is no longer part of current boss, Nigel Clough's plans.
Despite netting twice in a 3-2 defeat at Coventry City (his only goals in red and white colours) he was shipped out for the second part of the season to Glasgow based club Partick Thistle where he scored 7 goals in 20 apperances and helped the club escape relegation from the Premiership.
According to Scottish newspaper Daily Record the Jags are keen to make his move a perminant one, but face competition from former club Falkirk.
