Sheffield United defender Jack O’Connell is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Premier League. This time it’s Brighton who are chasing his signature.
Since joining from Brentford in 2016, O’Connell, 24 has been inspirational in holding the Blades back line together. He was part of the League One side which won the league and in last season’s squad which finished tenth in the Championship.
Yesterday, the Blades saw David Brooks complete his multi-million pound move to AFC Bournemouth confirmed and reports from The Sun newspaper suggest that fellow South Coast side Brighton & Hove Albion would like to sign the high rated defender in the region of £5-6million.
United supporters like myself we be praying that United keep hold of their major stars ahead of this new season.
