Colin Lee was sacked last Thursday after a bizarre mix up. On Tuesday he was told by his chairman he would be allowed to speak to Plymouth Argyle but later revealed he would get the sack. Since then Midfielder Paul Merson has taken up Caretaker Manager role.
Former Aston Villa manager John Gregory has also been named but it is at present likely that Coterill and kelly will be named. David Kelly, now Neil Warnock's second in command at Sheffield United played for the saddlers during the 1980's.
However some blame has been directed at Kelly about the Blades recent decline in form and we feel he would be blamed if he was to be tempted by a move to his former club.
