Grimsby striker Michael Boulding may be heading to the Blades next Season many reports have suggested. United are in desperate search of a new Striker after seeing there top scored (Carl Asaba) netting just seven this Season, and Warnock has said he has spoken to Boulding and also Bradford defender Stuart McCall but will not know whether he will be able to pull up a bid for either until a board meeting takes place within the next few weeks. If Warnock could snap up Boulding it could be a big boost with this season at one point hitting ten in as many, and could be exactly what United need. Although there may be a block in the way of this as Grimsby have offered him a new contract and he may well accept that. Warnock has also laughed off reports that United are looking to sign Manchester City hit man Shaun Goater. Warnock said on the matter “I've heard all the rumours, including the Goater story, but the truth is we have no chance of signing a big name and we couldn't afford Goater`s wages for a start!”
