Adams, 18 joined the Blades from non-league side Ilkeston Town (who they face in next Saturday’s friendly) last November but is thought to be highly rated by Cardiff boss Russell Slade. He made just 13 appearances for United last season and scored twice against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup semi-final.
He was signed by former boss Nigel Clough and it is unclear if Adams is part of Nigel Adkins plans next season.
Speaking as a supporter I would dearly hope that Adams is including in the driving force for a promotion push next season. Despite such a young age he has shown plenty of strength and ability and would prove a useful force in a strong squad.
Meanwhile the Bluebirds are also interested in signing former Lane favourite David Cotterill from Birmingham City.
