The former Yeovil Town middle-man has reportedly been seen house hunting in Sheffield more closer to Bramall Lane but this does not necessary mean he is on his way to United as Wednesday are also interested in him.
The 25 year old Merthyr Tydfil born Midfielder started his career with Non-Leaguers Hereford United in August 1996 where he played 122 (+ 12 as sub) whilst netting 31 goals before Yeovil Town signed Williams on a free transfer in May 2004.
After an explosive career at Huish Park Williams joined West Ham United for £250,000 in December 2004 after playing 102 (+ 2 as sub) and scoring 21 goals. His last game for Town ended in a 3-1 defeat at Lincoln City, he was also sent off during that game.
He made his Hammers debut in a 3-2 home win over Nottingham Forest and grabbed his first goals at Ellend Road two months later when they lost 2-1 at Leeds United.
Now in the Premiership the Welshman looks set to be out of Alan Pardew's plans at Upton Park and could soon be on the way out as four teams chase his signature.
