United are keen to buy a striker in January to boost their Premiership push though his club are reluctant to let him go.
Golan has ambitions of joining a major European club (wondered why Leeds and Wednesday aren't after him), and would jump at the chance of joining the Blades.
''It would be difficult for me to leave the club but I want to achieve my dream of playing in Europe,'' said Golan. ''I'm sure that Maccabi Petah Tikva will stay up and I will play in Europe next season.''
A bid of 1MILLION was reportedly rejected but United are expected to add a further 500k to their new bid.
''It would be difficult for me to leave the club but I want to achieve my dream of playing in Europe,'' said Golan. ''I'm sure that Maccabi Petah Tikva will stay up and I will play in Europe next season.''
Meanwhile Blades defender Simon Francis is to say an extra month at League One outfit Tranmere Rovers. Rovers manager Brian Little said; "Simon has done very well for us and we are delighted he will be with us for another month."
