Taylor, 23 who netted 29 goals in the Scottish First Division for Falkirk has agreed a deal to join United, according to BBC Sport.
He started his professional career with Millwall in 2007 after being signed from Staines Town but failed to make any appearances in his two year spell, however enjoyed loan deals at Eastbourne Borough and Croydon Athletic respectively. He joined Conrad Rangers for the 2009-10 season and was soon snapped up by Bournemouth and joined Falkirk in 2012.
He will become Weir’s fifth signing since he took over as Blades boss in June 2013.
