Sharp, 29 has played under new Blades boss Nigel Adkins three times previously after playing under him at Scunthorpe United, Southampton and a loan stint at Reading.
He has also played for Sheffield United twice. After coming through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane he was sold to Scunthorpe in 2005 before returning under the reigns of Bryan Robson in 2007 but failed to make an impact, in 2010 following a seasons long loan spell joined signed for neighbours Doncaster Rovers.
Currently with Leeds United the forward made just 33 appearances and scored 5 goals this season at Elland Road but with the Whites looking to transform their struggling side into a promotion winning team the West Yorkshire side look likely to allow Sharp to leave with Adkins looking the favourite to re-sign his favourite striker.
