Damaio, 18 made his full Blades debut in the recent 1-0 victory over Rotherham United (he had previously come on as a substitute at Crawley Town) as well as last Monday's 0-0 draw at Tranmere Rovers and in 178 minutes played to-date has impressed.
The Blades travel to Port Vale tomorrow night (8pm kick-off) before heading to Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night before playing out their last game of the season at home to Coventry City on Saturday, 3 May where Dimaio may be involved.
Blades boss Nigel Clough told sufc.co.uk; "He plays predominately as 'a sitter' at youth level but we don't want to pigeon-hole him because he a really good all-rounder. "You saw (at Tranmere) that he's got the discipline to do that part of his job and then, from a throw-in, move to the edge of the opposition box and be a threat up there too. "Connor is not a one-dimensional player at all. He's still got a lot of work and improving to do yet but, perhaps the most important thing, is that he's shown an excellent attitude and the willingness to do all of that."
