Due to suspennsion reasons Darren Ferguson watched from the Keepmoat stands as his side lost by a single goal in the South Yorkshire Derby - Che Adams netted the winning victory but had Neill Collins header not crashed against the crossbar in the fourth minute, and Louis Reed finished whilst one-on-one, the score-line could have been very different.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield; "It was a really poor performance and an awful game, It is one of the worst derbies I have ever seen. I was bored to tears. I have to quickly work out what that performance was all about because it was lacking all the fundamental things you need to win a game of football."
The result puts the Blades 8th in the League One table and five points behind sixth placed Millwall prior to tomorrow visit at Bury. Doncaster Rovers meanwhile lay 17th and are 6 points better off than the last relegation spot.
