Sheffield United midfielder Mark Yeates has put his resurgence in form down to the influence of new Blades boss Gary Speed. The 25-year-old former Tottenham trainee had found himself out in the cold under former manager Kevin Blackwell, but Speed has selected him in the last three games and he came up trumps in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Burnley with a dazzling display. Yeates, who created United's second goal and then struck a last-gasp equaliser, said: "I've been out of the team quite a bit, but the last couple of games have been decent performances. "The gaffer has been brilliant with me. He has instilled confidence in me and he's just letting me go out and play which is great. "Sometimes you just get the feeling he is backing me and even when things don't come off he is still encouraging me to do things which is massive. "Under the new manager the way we play definitely suits me a bit more."
