The Blades travel to St James Park on the final day of the League One season knowing that three points against Exeter City could see them take automatic promotion into the Championship; however they must rely on Wycombe Wanderers claiming points at Hillsborough.
Despite losing their grip on second spot after coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Stevenage last Saturday the former Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley boss insists that he isn't ready to wave the white flag yet; “Nothing is decided yet. We’re not giving up on anything.
“If we can get back in to second then great. If not and we have to go through the play-offs, then so be it. We wouldn’t go into them feeling sorry for ourselves. That’s not what these lads are about.”
Wilson remained upbeat about the Blades promotion chances and added; “I’ve got no worries about the character of my team whatsoever. Even if it’s the play-offs, we’ve still got a great chance.”
