Blackwell who only took charge just over 4 weeks ago has changed the Blades fortunes dramaticlly. United were 4 points off relegation 33 days ago and now to the current date are 6 points off the Premier League gateway.

Blackwell said:"It has to be about substance and not style over the remaining fixtures - style can come later in our overall strategy. At this stage it is about wins because they are the only results that will give us even a chance of the the play-offs, and we would still need outside help.

"Although we have a game in hand (vs Sheffield Wednesday) - and we would have taken our current do.

"But, we can have one eye on the play-offs and if we were to, say win our next 2 matches then it would really get exciting. I think we are capable of beating anyone at the moment. We are used to winning again and it is a nice feeling."

Blackwell finished:"Everyone wants to play and when players who have been on the bench and come on in games we have remained cohesive. For example, Jon Stead and James Beattie have come on recently as substitutes and been fantastic."
