Warnock is looking for cover in the Blades defence as Shaun Murphy, Steve Yates and Robert Ullathorne is currently injured. However Blue Moon boss Kevin Keegan has stated that Ritchie does not feature in his plans and is available for loan.
The Blades had planned to watch the City Slickers defender in a mid-week reserve match but was forced to change their plans when the game was postponed.
Warnock told the Sheffield Star: "We are looking at centre-back cover in case (Robert) Page or (Shaun) Murphy have problems but it would only be on a loan basis.
"Paul is one of a number of players that we are currently monitoring and it was a little disappointing that we couldn't watch him this week."
