He said: "We were unjust. We got criticised by a number of journalists for continuing the saga but when the rules are broken you've got to have justice and that's why we've carried on fighting by the cause.
"I'm delighted that the outcome between the two clubs has been resolved but at the same time I'm very sad as well because we worked so hard to stay up there and on a level playing field I think we would have survived.
"I'm going to be steady and seek legal advice with people at the right time but at the moment I can't say any further.
"Richard Scudamore and the Premier League wanted to brush it under the carpet but we wouldn't stand for that. They thought oh its only little Sheffield United. I knew they thought that all along. We fought our own cause and eventually its paid off."
