The Football League fixtures were announced today and Sheffield United have been chosen to face England internationals Peter Crouch, Jamie Gerrard and Steve Carragher when Liverpool travel to Sheffield on day one of the new 2006-07 Premiership season.
Manchester City is United's closest rivals since Leeds United failed to win promotion, the Citizens will play at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day and will face Arsenal at home on DEcember 30.
On the final day on the season (13 May) the Blades are once again at home to Paul Jewell's Wigan Athletic, meanwhile the Blades will face Champions Chelsea at home on 28 October.
