The trio were picked as outstanding performers in their positions with the team being made up from four different clubs; league winners Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town, MK Dons and of course Sheffield United. Where pretty sure there will be a few grunts across the city who were shocked not to see the likes of Jose Semedo and Gary Madine included!
Ben Hamer has kept 17 clean sheets to date for Charlton Athletic and was obvious choice for the goalkeepers position. In defence; Rhys Wiggins and Michael Morrison (both Charlton Athletic) were included and supported by Huddersfield Town's Jack Hunt and our very own Harry Maguire who has impressed since his promotion from the Academy.
Stephen Quinn was named in midfield along with former Sheffield Wednesday star Darren Potter (now with MK Dons), Johnnie Jackson (Charlton Athletic) and Stephen Gleeson (NK Dons).
In attack; controversially, Ched Evans - who was sentenced to five years in prison last Friday after being found guilty of rape has been included after scoring 35 goals for the Blades this season. The league's top scorer Jordan Rhodes has naturally been included also.
