Robinson, 33 who was highly linked with the Blades job in the summer following the departure of Danny Wilson has emeraged as a new favourite to take on the post this time around. News reports suggest that talks have been held between United and the MK Dons boss - although these rumours have been quashed.
The young manger has been in charge of MK since 2010 and whilst he has struggled to obtain promotion has established a good League One side whom is noted for playing quality attacking football.
Meanwhile there is former AS Roma and Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson, 65 whom is currently manager of Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou R&F and his appointment would make him the first foreign manager of Sheffield United
Perhaps he would demand too much money and whilst United have a large investment is it really worth while spending vast amount of cash just because you can?
Neil Warnock is the obvious fans choice as long as he is prepared to come out of retirement whilst Gregg Abott - formerly with Carlisle United has also been linked with the vacant mangers position
At this stage it is unclear as to whom will take on the role but will certainly make for an interesting debate.
