Surman's future undecided

The 22-year-old's prominent talent on the left hasn't gone unnoticed as an undisclosed fee has been placed by the Blades last week. Southampton are yet to accept or decline the offer, and Surman himself if unsure to which crest will be on his red and white jersey next season.

" I haven't thought about it too much until it actually moves forward. Until the takeover at Saints goes through, then we're in a bit of limbo", said Surman. "At this stage I haven't thought any further than going back to Southampton for pre-season on the 22nd June.

"When a serious bid comes in then that's when you have to review your situation, but we're not at that stage yet."

The former England U21 international sweetly struck for the Saints just a minute before normal time was up against the Blades last February, but Jamie Ward's peach of goal cancelled out the South African's equaliser.
