It was simply a good day all around if you're a Unitedite. A comprehensive 0:3 battering down at Ipswich is more than pleasing, but to hear the news come through that our inferior neighbours couldn't muster up a victory against Crystal Palace, a side who were effectively in a false position, is overwhelming.
Meanwhile, goals from Mark Yeates, Ched Evans and Richard Cresswell saw United record their first away victory since Plymouth Argyle in early December and finish on a high note. Perhaps a mediocre season isn't inspiring, but perhaps take some solace from our nearest's decline.
Well done to Crystal Palace. No Steel City Derby next season, but does it really matter? The 'massive' outfit from S6 are Relegated!
