Webb has been chosen by the FA and Uefa as the representative for England in the Euro 2008 championships. He gave a controversial penalty in the 1:1 draw with Austria and Poland.

Uefa director William Gaillard said:"We don't think it is controversial that a player is pulled down by the shirt and a penalty is given. It was certainly within the laws of the game."

Meanwhile Poland boss Beenhakker wasn't pleased at all. he said:"I've never had a problem in 43 years of being in football but this is something I cannot understand."
It proved he was wrong.

The Rotherham official and his two linesmen Darren Cann and Michael Mullarkey will find out shortly whether they will make it to a game in the knockout stages our make that be the semis and final.

Webb's previous job was for the South Yorkshire police. He used to control the crowds and now he is on the big stage controlling the players.
