Hoolahan joined the Seasiders in 2006 from Scottish outfit Livingston and has since impressed the Football League with his name being circulated around Bramall Lane earlier this season.
The Irishman played an important part in their 1-1 draw with Sheffield United on Boxing Day despite seeing defender Ian Evatt dismissed on eight minute mark.
"We've had him watched, and I think he is coming to the end of his contract, so there might be a possibility there," Robson told Sky Sports News.
"But I haven't been in touch with Blackpool."
