Andy Reid has cited Sheffield United manager Gary Speed as the main reason behind his loan move to Bramall Lane. Sunderland midfielder Reid, 28, signed for an initial month in time to step off the bench for his debut in the 1-0 home defeat to Coventry on Saturday. Reid, recovering from a hamstring injury, said: "The gaffer here was a massive attraction for me. He likes to play football and that's what I want to do too. "I've come up against him as a player and I've spoken to people who know him since he accepted this job. "There isn't anyone in the game who has got anything other than good words to say about the gaffer and his ideas. So, yes, he is definitely one of the reasons why I came."
