Nick Montgomery has set his sights on leading Sheffield United back into the Premier League - starting with an opening-day win over Cardiff. The two promotion hopefuls start their Championship campaigns at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday. Montgomery, who signed a new three-year contract at Bramall Lane earlier this summer, told the club's official website: "We are ready. We are confident that we can go to Cardiff on Sunday and put in a performance. "It is an exciting time of the year, we've been building up to this first game and are going to Cardiff to start our season positively. "They will be favourites but it doesn't bother us. We've done a lot of work in preparation and want to put a marker down to show that we are a good team. "Being a good team is one of the reasons why I decided to stay. I felt it was my duty to stay here. I'm a Blade and I'm desperate to get the club back into the Premiership."
