McCall, 48 was deemed favourite to succeed Danny Wilson, who was sacked as Blades boss in mid-April. But, after holding talks with the Bramall Lane committee it seems as though the former Scotland international is happy at Fir Park and as far as we know will remain with the Well for at least another year.
Meanwhile Karl Robinson, manager of MK Dons has committed his future to the Dons – he too was highly linked with the Blades managerial position. Chris Morgan still remains interested in the job and he will no doubt be installed as a new favourite to become Sheffield United manager, Gareth Southgate has also shown his interest.
