The businessman who is the temporary Chairman of the club until a replacement is found is to give £10m of his own cash (not the clubs cash) to Blackwell to spend on players to help resurrect the push for promotion.
The People state that he has intended to use the money to increase his 75% majority stake in the Blades. The gaffer has yet to sign anyone but rumours are spreading around many forums of players to be arriving or departing the Lane.
Meanwhile an interview in the Yorkshire Evening Post states that Manchester United midfielder Lee Martin would love the chance to come back to Sheffield United. He said: "Other than the injuries, I enjoyed it! The injuries are just one of those things.
"I had four or five injuries in total last season and didn't play anything near like I know I can. It was one of those seasons - I had injuries left, right and centre."
